Why convert AVIF to JPG
AVIF is a modern image format that can store a photo in a small file. Many websites now serve it, so images saved from the web are often AVIF. Plenty of editors, older programs and upload forms still accept only JPG, which opens almost everywhere.
What changes
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. JPG also compresses with loss, and the file is usually larger than the AVIF it came from. Choose a higher quality if you want to keep more detail, and keep the AVIF original if you may need it again.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, using your device's own image engine. The file is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white in the converted file.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
It is free, with no account and no limit on how many images you convert. Each image can be up to 40 MB, and up to 30 can go in at once.
What if my browser cannot open AVIF?
The page reports a file it cannot read. Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari open AVIF, so updating the browser is the first thing to try.
