Why convert PNG to JPG
A photograph saved as PNG is often far larger than it needs to be. JPG compresses photos well and is accepted almost everywhere, so it is the usual choice for photos you want to upload, email or share. The page shows the exact size before and after.
What changes
JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. JPG also compresses with loss, which can make text, logos and sharp edges look slightly fuzzier. For screenshots and graphics, check the result at full size, and keep the PNG if you need it exact.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion runs in your browser, using your device's own image engine. The file is never sent to our servers or to anyone else.
What happens to transparent areas?
JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas become white in the converted file.
Is it free, and is there a limit?
It is free, with no account and no limit on how many images you convert. Each image can be up to 40 MB, and up to 30 can go in at once.
What if my browser cannot create this format?
The page tells you before you start. Browsers differ in which formats they can write, and current versions of Chrome, Edge and Firefox are the safest choice.
