What App Store says

The iPad size Apple requires

If your app supports iPadOS, Apple requires at least one screenshot for the iPad 13-inch display: 2064 x 2752 or 2048 x 2732 pixels in portrait, 2752 x 2064 or 2732 x 2048 in landscape. The 13-inch class covers iPad Pro (M5, M4), iPad Pro (6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd and 1st generation) and iPad Air (M4, M3, M2).

Do you need all of them?

Apple says that if your app's interface looks the same across device sizes and languages, you only need screenshots for the highest required resolution, and App Store Connect scales them down for smaller devices. You can also upload screenshots made for each size.

File rules

  • JPEG, JPG or PNG files.
  • At least one screenshot, and up to 10 per device size.
  • No alpha channels or transparencies. A PNG that has them can be saved as a JPEG with the free PNG to JPG converter.
  • Apple's page names no file size limit.
