For Shopify sellers
Photo resizing for Shopify sellers
Drop your product photos, pick the Shopify preset, and get back a ZIP sized to Shopify's own rules. No account for the free pack, and your photos never leave your browser.
Why this is slower than it should be
- ·Shopify accepts images up to 5000 x 5000 px and 20 MB, but its own guidance suggests staying far smaller: about 2048 x 2048 px for square images and ideally no more than 200 KB.
- ·A store grid looks uneven when featured images have different aspect ratios, and Shopify recommends using one consistent ratio.
- ·Heavy product photos slow down a store, and compressing a whole catalogue one image at a time is slow and easy to get inconsistent.

Shopify product image size (2048×2048px) quotes Shopify's own words, dated, with the size SizeSpec outputs for it.
Questions
What size does Shopify want for product images?
See the full, sourced answer in the Shopify product image size guide, including the size limits and the file size Shopify suggests.
Can I resize a whole catalogue at once?
Yes. Drop the photos into the studio, pick the Shopify preset, and download one ZIP with every image at the same size and under the file size goal.
Do I need to connect my Shopify store?
No. SizeSpec never connects to your store; it only resizes the files you drop in, in your browser, and you upload the ZIP's images yourself.
